Canada Provides a New Route For Nigerian Carpenters, Plumbers, and Welders

A new immigration opportunity has been made available in Canada for plumbers, welders, and carpenters from a variety of nations, including Nigeria

In a statement on Tuesday, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) unveiled a simplified immigration process designed especially for professionals with expertise in welding, plumbing, and carpentry.

Addressing the nation’s deficit of trained tradespeople, according to IRCC Minister Marc Miller, is of paramount importance. Therefore, assisting the construction industry in finding and keeping the trained labor it needs has emerged as a key component of the answer.

The government looks forward to welcoming more of these gifted people into the country. This most recent category-based selection recognizes the crucial role that these skilled trades employees play in Canada.

Sean Fraser, the former IRCC minister, had already announced modifications to Express Entry through category-based selection in May. This new procedure aims to accept talented immigrants with prioritized jobs as permanent residents.

The Canadian government uses Express Entry, an online method, to award skilled employees permanent residence. It acts as the primary method of handling applications for Canadian immigration of skilled workers.

There are numerous ways for professionals and employees to be eligible for a Canadian immigration permanent residence visa, according to experts from the First Immigration Law Firm located in Canada.

Express Entry’s Federal Skilled Worker Program or Canadian Experience Class are the two most popular options. Candidates are qualified for entrance into Canada through the Express entrance system if they fulfill the conditions of these programs.
